Current Opportunity:
Right now, we’re looking for a Head of Human Resources to join our Team in Zagreb, Croatia. The role ensures effective implementation of the company’s HR and people strategy within the country, fully aligned with Group HR principles. Supports business objectives by delivering comprehensive HR services, ensuring legal and policy compliance, and creating a high‑performing, engaged, and well‑supported workforce.
The role leads the full HR function and team, covering all aspects of the employee life cycle for the organization of both HQ and retail front‑line staff and as a strategic partner to management and as a trusted advisor to employees.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Your daily activities will include:
Strategic HR Leadership
- Translate Group HR strategy into local execution.
- Act as a trusted HR business partner to senior management.
- Drive organizational change, culture, and engagement initiatives.
- Manage labor costs, workforce planning, and HR budgeting.
- Implement Group and local HR policies, tools, and processes.
End‑to‑End People Management
- Lead the full employee lifecycle: workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance, talent, L&D, and succession.
- Oversee employer branding and hiring quality across office and retail roles.
- Lead performance and feedback culture; coach managers on people leadership.
- Design and deliver competitive compensation, benefits, and incentive schemes.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with labor law, GDPR, H&S, and Group policies.
- Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and trade union cooperation (where applicable).
- Oversee payroll accuracy, HR administration, and statutory reporting.
- Lead audits and implement corrective actions.
Operations & Facilities Oversight
- Oversee reception, office, and facility management.
- Ensure smooth office operations, vendor management, and cost optimization.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, develop, and coach the HR team.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, IT, Operations, and Group HR.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience & Education
- University degree (HR, Business, Social Sciences or similar).
- 8+ years in HR, including 5+ years in HR leadership.
- Experience in organizations with 300+ employees.
- Strong background in HR systems and process implementation.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent knowledge of local labor law.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic mindset combined with hands‑on execution.
- Change management experience.
- Fluent English (daily business use).
- Analytical, structured, and comfortable with budgeting and data.
- Open to HR digitalization and innovation.
