POSITION TITLE: Planning System Analyst (IBM TM1)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and Optimize Planning Solutions: Design, develop, and maintain IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) models and reports to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Automate and Drive Efficiency: Implement scalable workflows, promote automation of financial processes, and process enhancements to increase efficiency and data integrity across FP&A planning processes using in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1).
- Ensure High System Availability and Performance: Provide rapid issue resolution, including on-call support for critical system disruptions outside of business hours for in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1).
- Data Integration and Accuracy: Collaborate with IT, BI, and other system teams to integrate planning data from across platforms into in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) and ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial deliverables.
- IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) User Support and Training: Provide training, documentation, and troubleshooting support to FP&A teams and system users, ensuring effective system utilization.
- in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) Security and Compliance: Administer user licenses, permissions, and access controls while maintaining compliance with data governance and security policies.
- in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends to propose and implement innovative solutions.
- Project and Roadmap Management: Maintain a structured issue-resolution process, prioritize system enhancements, and execute developments in alignment with business needs.
REQUIREMENTS - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience designing and implementing financial planning solutions, specifically with Cognos TM1/IBM Planning Analytics (including TM1 Rules, Feeders, Turbo Integrator processes, and system configurations).
• Proven expertise in building financial models in TM1 for planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems.
• SQL skills, including experience with writing queries and stored procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong focus on efficiency, automation, and process improvement.
• Excellent project management and time management abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration across teams.
• Fluent in English.
Qualifications
• Prior experience working within or closely with FP&A teams.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
• Experience working with additional planning and analytics tools beyond IBM Planning Analytics.
