Current Opportunity:
Right now, we are seeking a Group Business analyst – Customer Engagement to join our Customer Engagement & Marketing Solutions team in Prague. Reporting to the Group Head of Customer Engagement & Marketing Solutions, the Business Analyst serves as a domain expert in customer engagement, promotions, and gaming (casino & sportsbook), supporting the development and optimization of internal tools such as the Sportsbook Bonus Manager and Promotion Manager for segmented promotions. This role bridges business needs and technology, ensuring solutions are tailored to drive customer engagement, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The BA partners closely with Product Owners, developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable features and enhancements, leveraging industry knowledge to maximize product impact.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, and marketing teams to define and refine requirements for customer engagement and promotional tools.
- Requirements Analysis: gathering and analyzing business requirements, ensuring that proposed solutions and processes meet the business needs.
- Documentation: create PRDs, specs, user stories, release notes.
- Process Improvement: identify inefficiencies in business processes and propose solutions to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Communication: connect the business stakeholders and IT teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications.
- Feasibility Studies: Before implementing new solutions, conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability and potential impact on the product.
- Act as the knowledge keeper for the sportsbook and casino promotions domain, maintaining up-to-date documentation (player journeys, business processes, domain descriptions).
- Ensure analytical outputs are accurate, comprehensive, and timely for portfolio epics and assigned features.
- Support the development and testing phases through consultations and requirement clarifications.
- Contribute to the BA community by sharing best practices and mentoring colleagues.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (refinements, PI planning, retrospectives) and support SAFe practices.
- Identify risks and dependencies related to customer engagement and promotional initiatives, proposing mitigation strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement of internal tools, focusing on segmentation, personalization, and bonus effectiveness.
You should have experience in:
- Master’s degree in IT, Economics, or related field.
- Fluent Englis - Oral and Written communication (B2 level or higher)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in business analysis within online gaming, casino, or sports betting.
- Technical background and experience with software development advantageous.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Office.
- Data analysis experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of sportsbook and casino operations, bonus mechanics, and promotional strategies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in gaming/betting.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and teams.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research.
- User-centric approach and awareness of UI/UX trends.
- Proficiency in requirement management and documentation tools.
- Ability to create clear, structured documentation: create PRDs, specs, user stories, release notes that follow logical structure, include acceptance criteria, and are readable by engineers, designers, and stakeholders.
