Hey there!

We're Fortuna Entertainment Group, and we’re excited to share why we’re a team worth joining.

Who We Are?

Founded in 1990, FEG is a top player in the betting and gaming industry. We proudly serve millions of customers across seven European countries – Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, and Lithuania – with our Business Intelligence operations based in India and two hubs in London and Madrid.

Why Join Us?

You’ll be part of a team that embraces bold ideas and delivers on its promises. We’re committed to providing exceptional betting and gaming experiences tailored to our customers’ needs, bringing fun and games to them. We also know that behind these experiences is a great team, which is why we invest in and value each of our colleagues.

Where We Work?

Our vibrant Prague office, located in the modern Churchill II building, is where work meets fun! Enjoy perks like our very own barista, 24/7 company gym, a game room, and a relaxed atmosphere where colleagues are as friendly as they are skilled.

Current Opportunity

Right now, we're looking for a Group Full-Stack Developer to join our Group Core Services team in Prague. You will build and maintain the integration services in our middleware layer - the systems that connect FEG platforms with our external partners - with your main focus on the payments area: direct integrations with payment providers and integration with our payment orchestrator.

You will own your features end to end, from the Java service in the background to the Vue.js interface our customers actually use on web and inside our mobile apps. Expect roughly 60% backend and 40% frontend work.

This is a mid-level role. You do not need a payments background - we will teach you that. What matters is that you are comfortable making systems talk to each other and can carry a well-scoped integration to production on your own.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Your daily activities will include, but not limited to:

  • Design, implement and maintain Java middleware integration services (REST and event driven) connecting FEG systems with payment providers, our payment orchestrator and other external partners
  • Take end-to-end responsibility for your features - the backend integration together with the related Vue.js user interface, including micro frontends and webviews embedded in our mobile applications
  • Handle the real-life side of payment integrations: authentication to external APIs, timeouts, retries, idempotency, out-of-order callbacks, status mapping and asynchronous outcomes
  • Publish and consume Kafka messages where integrations need domain events
  • Write high-quality, reviewed and documented code covered by automated tests, including tests against stubs and mocks of external systems
  • Deliver your changes through Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to OpenShift and verify them after release, working in a DevOps environment
  • Use Kibana and Grafana to diagnose issues and add dashboards and alerts for the services you build
  • Cooperate with product owners, scrum masters, QA, architects and 3rd party providers, and raise risks early
  • Share knowledge within the team through code reviews, pairing and short write-ups

What We’re Looking For

You should have experience in:

  • At least 2 years of professional software development in a commercial product team (typical fit is 2-5 years)
  • Java for backend and middleware services (Spring Boot or a comparable JVM stack, REST APIs, JSON)
  • Vue.js for frontend development
  • Building or consuming HTTP APIs and integrating systems (REST, authentication to external services, callbacks and webhooks, OpenAPI/Swagger)
  • Relational database basics: SQL, transactions and the consistency questions that come with integrations (duplicates, out-of-order messages)
  • Git as a daily tool (Bitbucket, GitHub or equivalent) with pull requests, branching and code review
  • Automated testing: JUnit or equivalent on the backend, component and unit tests on the frontend
  • Good verbal and written English (B2 or better)
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

It would be a bonus if you bring:

  • Production experience with integration or middleware services (external APIs, message driven flows, mapping between systems)
  • Payment integrations - direct payment providers or a payment orchestrator
  • Apache Kafka or another message broker (RabbitMQ) used in production
  • CI/CD with Jenkins (or GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and deployment to OpenShift or Kubernetes
  • Observability - searching logs in Kibana/ELK and reading Grafana dashboards
  • Micro frontends and/or webviews embedded in native mobile applications
  • Security hygiene for integrations: secrets management, OWASP basics, least privilege, PCI-DSS awareness
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

Why You’ll Love It Here

Beyond our incredible office space, joining our team means enjoying a range of benefits:

  • An annual bonus
  • 5 weeks of holiday
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid working arrangements
  • An individual career development plan
  • Meal allowance
  • Cafeteria Benefit System (sports, culture, travel, health)
  • Employee events, well-being programs, and internal activities
  • Employee Referral Program
  • International environment with stable background
  • In-house barista, refreshments, and weekly fruit days
  • Access to internal tools and modern HR processes
  • Partner discounts (Dr. Max, Datart, Škoda Auto, and other)

If this sounds like your kind of place, let us know by applying! We can’t wait to hear from you.
