Current Opportunity:
Right now, we are seeking a Group Configuration Specialist to join our Group Core services in Prague. Reporting to our Group Release and Configuration Management Manager, you will be responsible for setting up application parameters, content & functional configuration for several applications used by business, test teams & development teams. The person also will be responsible for basic testing the configurations applied. Supporting testing, development & integration teams with test data and executing integration tests for integrated products does also fall under the responsibility of this person. Candidate needs to be fine with working within an English-speaking team and environment. Works on the key systems and modules of the multi-brand, multi-product, multi-channel and multi-lingual platform.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Configuration of application parameters and variables (in CMS, database, configuration files, backend) mostly for web, mobile, desktop and retail applications
- Setting up content and test-data for (pre)production environment
- Coordinating mapping of configuration dependencies across departments/projects
- Participation in analysis, architecture finalization & test plan(s)
- Keeping documentation for existing and configuration changes up to date
- Manage feedback from application users & quality assurance team and reflect this into configuration adjustments
- Participate in incident management with configuration incidents resolution according to internal SLAs
- Find possibilities to automate configuration processes and possibly participate in the automation development
- Continued assessment of ways to improve configuration implemented.
- Educating business users of the application(s) technical possibilities
- Testing the applied configurations on basic functional level and possibly testing backend integration with existing/ new third parties/ partners
- Occasional test analysis and test execution assistance may be requested - test cases revision/ suggestion to improve on coverage
You should have experience in:
- High school education
- Fluent verbal and written communication knowledge of English language
- Experience with configuration of business-critical applications for at least 2 year
- Experience with any CMS type application(s) configuration for at least 2 years
- Quality Assurance / Testing experience at least 1 year
- Good organizational, interpersonal, communication & presentation skills
- “Let’s get things done!” attitude
Nice to have:
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript is beneficial
- Experience with agile approach (scrum, sprints, story points…)
- Previous experience in Gaming Industry (Sports-betting, Online - Lottery, Casino)
- Basic knowledge of pgSQL
- Passion for learning new things is important
- Analytical thinking
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication skills
- Comfortable working with agile methodology and tools
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Ability to listen patiently and learn from others and use new technologies
- Adaptable and flexible
