Current Opportunity
Right now, we´re seeking a Group Lawyer to join our great Legal team in our HQ in beautiful Prague. As Group Lawyer, you will be responsible for executing the legal and contractual tasks of the Group while ensuring its operations run smoothly, and risks are appropriately identified and mitigated. You will also support the Group’s business activities by giving valuable, complex legal advice to ensure full compliance with relevant legislation, applicable regulations, internal policies, and cover legal areas of commercial law, IP/IT rights, trademarks, and technology services.
The person will also participate in processes for relevant licensing renewals and potential new license applications, legal audits and examinations, the dissemination and analysis of new or revised laws and regulations, research on legal issues and process development.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Your daily activities will include mainly:
- Structure, draft and review contracts, reports, legal opinions, memoranda and legal documents in various legal topics (Commercial, Procurement, HR, IP/IT law and Marketing) and other documents as required under the Group's governance and internal policies.
- Perform legal negotiations and contracting between the Group and its suppliers, working with external counsel when needed. Communicate and negotiate with external parties (external legal counsels, suppliers, regulators).
- Research, anticipate and guard the Group against legal risks.
- Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to the various departments. Provide advice and guidelines to more junior colleagues.
- Handle contract management process, oversee portfolio of contracts, track status, maintain contract pipeline and provide reports.
- Become the Group's AI legal ambassador – advocate and implement AI tools and platforms and their use in daily operations (in particular Legora, Claude, Copilot).
- Oversight and coordination with external legal counsel regarding disputes/litigations.
What We’re Looking For
You should have experience in:
- Fluent English, both written and oral (at least C1).
- University degree in law from a respectable Czech or Slovak university.
- At least five years of experience with mandatory experience in commercial law, IT/IP law.
- Knowledge and experience of AI tools implementation and use in legal day-to-day practice.
- Experience in the betting/gaming industry is an advantage.
- Experience working in large international firms or a reputable law firm is a plus.
