Current Opportunity
Right now, we’re seeking a Group Head of Legal to join our team in Prague and lead the Group Legal department across FEG.
In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for the effective management of the Group’s legal agenda, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of contracts and other legal matters. You will lead the legal team, manage its capacity and external legal counsel, and work closely with the Group Compliance department to address regulatory requirements across the organization.
You will regularly collaborate with local and Group stakeholders to shape and execute our legal strategy, support key business initiatives, and ensure that contractual relationships and legal risks are managed effectively. The role also provides an opportunity to contribute to M&A, financing, restructuring, and Group development projects within an international and fast-moving business.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Your daily activities will include, but not be limited to:

Leading and developing the Group Legal team, planning its workload, allocating resources, and ensuring the timely delivery of legal services

Managing a broad legal agenda covering gaming and betting, finance, HR, IT, security, data protection, supplier contracts, and internal projects

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements while communicating with suppliers, licensors, external advisers, and other business partners

Establishing effective legal processes and working with other departments to improve, streamline, and automate contract management

Identifying legal and contractual risks, advising the business on appropriate mitigation measures, and ensuring internal policies and procedures meet applicable requirements

Managing external legal counsels and the related budget efficiently and effectively

Providing legal support for Group M&A, opening new businesses, financing, restructuring, organizational change, and other strategic development projects

Partnering with Group Compliance, local legal teams, senior management, and other stakeholders to define and implement the Group’s legal strategy

Maintaining and aligning legal templates and standard documentation across the Group

Promoting innovation and continuous improvement within the legal function while maintaining a high standard of internal client service
What We’re Looking For:

A Master’s degree in Law and at least 8 years of relevant professional legal experience

Proven people-management and leadership experience, ideally gained in an international environment
-
Passion for new technologies and automation development and ability to be change catalyst in adjusting diligent and effective processes

Strong experience in commercial contract management, drafting, and negotiation
-
Practical experience supporting M&A and corporate restructuring projects
-
Knowledge of banking and finance matters, including financing structures and related contract negotiations
-
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project-management skills, with a hands-on and process-driven approach
-
The confidence and communication skills to advise and collaborate with stakeholders at different management levels
-
Sound independent judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive legal matters and work effectively under pressure
-
English proficiency at B2/C1 level or higher
-
General knowledge of Common Law or UK Law is a strong advantage
