Current Opportunity:

Fortuna Entertainment Group is currently looking for an Internal Auditor to enhance governance, compliance, and operational integrity within our multinational operations for various locations such as Prague, Zagreb or Bucharest. This role will involve providing independent and objective assurance and advisory services, which are crucial for making a significant impact in the evolving landscape of omni-channel betting and gaming. The contributions of the Internal Auditor will play a key role in helping us achieve our objectives and improve our operational standards.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

Your daily activities will include, but not be limited to: 

  • Lead and execute internal audit engagements across FEG entities.
  • Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders during audit planning, fieldwork and reporting.
  • Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of business processes, internal controls and governance practices.
  • Identify weaknesses, inefficiencies and irregularities; propose clear, practical, risk-based recommendations.
  • Perform audits across key areas such as business operations, compliance, IT and regulatory frameworks specific to the gaming industry.
  • Support forensic and special investigations initiated by management or triggered by compliance incidents.
  • Participate in thematic audits focused on high-risk topics or areas.
  • Support the development of the annual audit plan through risk assessment and understanding of business priorities.
  • Prepare clear, concise and well-structured audit documentation and reports for management and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and follow up on the implementation and effectiveness of agreed audit actions.
  • Build strong working relationships with teams and senior stakeholders across FEG markets to ensure audit findings are understood and changes are embedded.
  • Help evolve our internal audit approach by suggesting improvements to methodologies, tools and ways of working.

 

What We’re Looking For:

You should have experience in:

  • University degree.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English, as well as proficiency in the local language.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in internal or external audit, forensic services, advisory, compliance, or risk management.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex processes and identify key risks.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments across different locations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.

 

It would be a bonus if you bring:

  • Experience with NIS2, IT Security 
  • Experience in a multinational environment 
  • Experience in the betting/gaming industry
  • Background in regulated industries
