Current Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a Payroll Accountant to join our Group HR team.
In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for Fortuna GAME a.s. and Fortuna Rent s.r.o., covering all economic and legislative aspects of payroll while cooperating closely with HR, Finance, and external authorities.

This position is ideal for someone who already has solid payroll experience and wants to grow further in complexity and responsibility, without moving away from hands-on work.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

Your daily activities will include, but not limited to:

  • End-to-end payroll processing for employees (HPP, DPP, DPČ)
  • Entering rewards, deductions, overtime, severance pay, travel allowances, and other payroll components
  • Monthly payroll closing, payroll accounting, and cooperation with the Finance department
  • Communication with employees, HR colleagues, and Finance
  • Communication with state authorities (ČSSZ, health insurance companies, tax office, Labour Office)
  • Processing sickness, OČR, maternity, paternity, parental leave, and related agenda
  • Handling deductions, foreclosures, and insolvency cases
  • Sending salary payments via B24 and MultiCash
  • Annual tax settlement (advance and withholding tax), ELDP agenda
  • Participation in audits and inspections by authorities
  • Cooperation on attendance planning and uneven working hours in line with the Labor Code
  • Responsibility for payroll data accuracy and Unified Monthly Employer Report (JMHZ) submissions, including resolving any discrepancies

 

What We’re Looking For:

You should have experience in:

  • Secondary school or university education in economics, payroll, or a related field
  • Fluent level of English, both verbal and oral (at least C1)
  • Proven experience as a payroll accountant / payroll specialist
  • Very good knowledge of Czech payroll legislation and related regulations
  • Practical experience with full payroll cycles
  • Good command of MS Office

It would be a bonus if you bring:

  • Experience with Czech payroll in a medium or larger company
  • Experience with audits or inspections (ČSSZ, tax office, health insurance companies)
  • Knowledge of payroll or HR systems (RON is an advantage)
  • Experience with foreign employees agenda
