Current Opportunity:
Right now, we´re seeking a PostgreSQL Database Administrator responsible for supporting the IT PostgreSQL database environment during entire service life cycle (design, build, operations) and ensure smooth service delivery of dedicated services and closely collaborate with other IT infrastructure and development teams within Fortuna Entertainment Core Databases Team
What You’ll Be Doing:
Your daily activities will include, but not limited to:
- Participation on Group IT Projects during entire project life cycle (Agile, Waterfall methodologies)
- Participation on service delivery during entire project life cycle (identification, ideation, requirements gathering, design, build, testing, delivery, operation)
- Active participation on Service delivery improvement and service evangelization
- Propose and implement market IT standards and best practices in the Group IT organization
- IT Engineering of role-specific activities in given service domain specified by team manager and respective service owner
What We’re Looking For:
You should have experience in:
- 2+ years in PostgreSQL Database Administration (i.e user and privileges mgmt., backup/restore procedures, troubleshooting, performance tuning)
- Experience with OS Linux or other UNIX systems
- Technical Education field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology)
- English Language (intermediate)
- Czech Language is a strong advantage
- Independence of action and proper determination of priorities in the implementation of tasks
- Teamwork skills and ability to motivate and support others in action
It would be a bonus if you bring:
- Experience with operation and investigation of large and complex IT systems
- Experience with monitoring tools e.g. Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana
- Experience with automatization tools used for change deployment and environment standardization and unification
- Experience with use of virtualization platforms like VMware l
- Experience with Azure public cloud environment
