Current Opportunity:

Right now, we are´ seeking a Gaming Frontend Team Manager to join our Gaming Delivery team in Split. Reporting to our Group Head of Gaming Delivery, this role ensures the establishment of FEG’s technical vision and leading all aspects of the group’s gaming frontends (online webs and retail presentation layers)

The GFTM will proactively oversee the planning and execution of the Technology goals, actively support FEG strategy with high quality deliverables in gaming architecture unit with the view to achieve profitable growth targets through KPIs achievement, efficiency of operations, return on investment in all Technology related operational and investment activities – A proactive Technology and commercial leadership throughout the FEG is fundamental with respect to delivering agreed profitable growth targets.

The GFTM is to serve as a business partner to all relevant internal and external counterparties, building strong relationship with Product, IT, internally in Gaming unit and within other Delivery units, both at the strategic and operation level.

The GFTM will be key member of the Head of Gaming Delivery management team and will have full responsibility for gaming frontend aspects of FEG.

What You’ll Be Doing:

The main responsibilities are to:

• Ownership of Gaming Frontend Products:
  • Development and maintenance of FEG's gaming portal (mobile, desktop web, retail presentation layer) ensuring high performance, scalability, and seamless user experience
  • Continuous improvement of the web, mobile web, and retail presentation layers based on business needs and user feedback
  • Alignment with FEG's technology strategy to drive innovation in gaming frontend solutions

• Gaming CMS Ownership:
  • Oversee the Gaming CMS, ensuring seamless integration with frontend gaming products
  • Define and optimize workflows within the CMS to streamline content management and operations
  • Ensure smooth collaboration with content teams, allowing them to efficiently manage and update gaming-related content
  • Enhance CMS capabilities to support localization, personalization, and dynamic content delivery

• Technology Leadership:
  • Lead frontend development initiatives, ensuring the adoption of modern technologies and best practices
  • Define and execute the technical roadmap for frontend gaming platforms, in collaboration with Product and IT
  • Ensure system stability, performance, and security across all frontend channels

• Cross-functional Collaboration & Delivery:
  • Partner closely with Product Management, R&D, IT, and other delivery units to align business goals with technical execution
  • Manage and optimize integrations with backend systems, gaming content providers, and CMS
  • Ensure smooth cooperation with third-party vendors and contractors for technology solutions

• Agile & SAFe Execution:
  • Support execution of Agile practices in alignment with Gaming Agile team (RTEs + Scrum Masters)
  • Drive iterative development, ensuring timely delivery of features and improvements
  • Optimize team efficiency through Agile metrics, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Team Leadership & Talent Development:
  • Build and lead a high-performing Portal team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
  • Ensure succession planning and talent development within the portal technology team
  • Promote knowledge sharing and technical mentorship across development centres

• Market & Technology Trends:
  • Stay ahead of market trends and emerging technologies in gaming frontend development
  • Ensure FEG's frontend gaming platforms maintain a competitive edge in the industry

• Standards & Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with FEG's technical standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain alignment with external governance units, such as Enterprise Architects 

What We’re Looking For:

You should have experience in:

• 3+ years of experience in software development (frontend focus preferred)
• 2+ years of experience managing teams within a technological environment
• Proficiency in frontend development technologies, including JavaScript (React, Vue, or Angular), CSS, and HTML
• Knowledge of Agile/Kanban methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
• Experience working with CMS and frontend integration
• Excellent English – written and spoken
• EU national or EU work permit holder

Nice to have:

• Advanced Czech or Croatian – written and spoken
• Knowledge of sports betting and online gaming from a user and/or technical perspective
• Experience with frontend performance optimization and accessibility best practices
• Experience with frontend automation testing frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Jest)
• Strong leadership and management abilities
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both technical and business-oriented
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments
• Passion for software development and modern technologies
• High level of accountability and responsibility
• Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving:
• Ability to balance long-term strategy with day-to-day operational needs.
• Experience in managing multiple product lines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
